Thermovaluation

Thermovaluation presents the path to the future regarding management of MSW - Municipal Solid Waste.

It constitutes an eco-compatible instrument for waste disposal, and is presented as a renewable energy source.

In an Energy Recovery Unit, the treatment of solid waste is done through Biotunel. After the treatment and bio-stabilization of this material, the MSW is transformed into Fuel Derived from Waste, and this fuel is inserted in the boilers of the thermoelectric, equipped with the most modern filters for cleaning the gases.

Other advantages of thermovaluation:

  • Electric power generation;

  • Reduction of solid waste volume by up to 88%, thus increasing the service life of existing landfills and currently with their capacities at the operating limit;

  • Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2 equivalent) to the atmosphere, originated from the final destination of municipal waste in the aforementioned landfill sites;

  • Encourages sorting and recycling of materials;

  • It does not require large areas as a landfill does, merely the plant area, which in the model chosen by Valoriza Energia is very compact;

  • Absence of slurry;

  • Eliminates methane (CH4) emissions.
