The Company

Valoriza Energia is the idealizer in Brazil of the project of Thermovaluation of MSW (municipal solid waste) called URE Valoriza (Energy Recovery Unit).

Among the projects in implementation, we highlight the URE Valoriza Santos, the first MSW thermovaluation plant that will go into operation in the country, precisely in the municipality of Santos (SP), with capacity to generate 50 MWh of electricity and thermovaluation of 2000 tonnes/day of waste from the Baixada Santista. This generated energy is able to serve a city of 250,000 inhabitants.

Other UREs Valoriza are in the process of environmental licensing by Brazil and very soon will be generating electricity, employment, income and, above all, a sustainable environment, where all the municipal solid waste, which had as final destination the Sanitary landfills, will now be thermovalued.

Modern and consolidated gas treatment systems, the same used in more than 500 Energy Recovery Units in operation in Europe, will be present in the UREs Valoriza.

Valoriza Energia, also, is the creator of the project called UTR Valoriza, which are waste treatment units, transforming the MSW into RDF (refuse derived fuel), through technology deployed in partnership with Waste Management Italia and which patent was required in Brazil. The MSW, after being treated in these units, becomes a fuel with excellent physicochemical characteristics for use in aquatubular and flamotubular boilers. Again, the thermovaluation of solid waste is the efficient and intelligent alternative for the final destination of this material.
